CrossFit Games 2021 will be taking place in a few weeks and many CrossFit Games participants are very excited. Apart from the usual men's and ladies' competitions, there will be some women's events. You've heard of the Reebok equipment, the Pegboard contest and the Cutting system. But do you know what to expect from the women's competition? Continue reading to learn more! Competition for women

The 2021 Crossfit Games' women's competition started this morning with the swim race. Tia-Clair Toomey-Orr and Jonne Koski won in the first event. Koski was the overall winner after keeping her lead throughout the competition. Tall and Eramo O'Connell finished second and third, respectively. It was the first Games women's event and the women hoped to complete it.

The field is full of top-level athletes in the women's competition. The field includes nine athletes. One of them is a 19-year old powerhouse, who won the Australian competition last year. Kara Saunders (Australian athlete) finished second in Australia. She was also eleventh worldwide for 2020. Another rising star is Andrea Nisler, who competed in the team division in 2018 and finished third in the United States and fifteenth overall in 2020. Aside from these athletes, the Women’s competition will also include a newcomer, Sara Sigmundsdottir, an Icelandan competitor, who won first place at the World Crossfit Games earlier.

Pegboard contest

Pegboard at Crossfit Games 2020 was a first. Along with dumbbell overhead squats and double-unders, it was included in the Games' summer Olympic programme. With 30 wins, Toomey-Orr holds the record for the most Games events won. Sager won Event 11 men's and received his third Games win. Although there were many ties, Toomey-Orr's dominance wasn't enough to prevent him from winning the contest.

CrossFit Games training involves focusing on ten basic physical fitness skills: endurance, strength flexibility power speed and agility. Competitors are tested on their grip strength and coordination in the Pegboard contest. The competitors compete by holding two wooden stakes between their fingers. After completing the Pegboard, the competition was intense and athletes felt a sense of accomplishment.


Cutting system

CrossFit Games will use a cutting system again for individual competitions. This is not as extreme as past Games cuts, but it is very different this year. The competition has 15 individual events. Therefore, it's likely that the first cut of 30 athletes will occur after the seventh or eight event. Another question remains: how will CrossFit adjust the points spread following cuts? The scoring system used in 2019 was virtually identical to the 2021 one, so it is probable that this will continue.

This year's CrossFit Games field includes 236 athletes. It is the largest ever. Major cuts occur in the first six events. The field is reduced down to 75 athletes. The top 30 competitors then compete in the sprint couplet to determine which athlete is number ten. From there, the top 20 athletes compete in the remaining six events. Castro's system was strongly criticised by former Games participants, who felt that cuts were too substantial.

Reebok equipment

Reebok announced new CrossFit Games footwear, clothing and other equipment. The Nano X1 shoes are the new model. They're made to fit multiple fitness needs. Although Reebok calls this shoe "the shoe for fitness", it feels more like a training shoe. The shoe's upper is made from DuPont's Kevlar material, which promotes durability and breathability. The firm midsole and RopePro tech enhance the responsiveness of the shoes.

Reebok's contract with CrossFit will end at the end of 2020, and the Games will be without a title sponsor. Reebok has sponsored these Games for over a decade. However, it now appears that the company's involvement in the Games is decreasing. The company won't fund the Games' prize purse, but will continue to make all of the athletic apparel and equipment worn by athletes, including the new Reebok gear. The company won't refer to itself as "Reebok crossfit games" anymore.

What nutrients does a man need daily?

Healthy growth and development of men requires healthy nutrition. Your body needs vitamins, minerals and nutrients as well as carbohydrates, proteins, fats, carbohydrate, fiber, and other essential components.

Males also require specific nutrients at certain times of the day. When you're sleeping, your body uses energy from food for hormones, proteins, and enzymes. When you awake, protein is used by your body to build muscles or repair damaged tissue.

Also, protein must be consumed immediately after your workouts. This prevents muscle tissue loss that happens while you sleep.

Your body can produce lactic acid during intense physical activity. The body produces lactic acid when there is too much activity. This can cause fatigue. Eat foods high in carbohydrate, such as fruits, vegetables, to avoid this.

Carbohydrates give your body the energy it needs to recover from strenuous exercise.

Most processed meats contain nitrites and other harmful chemicals. Avoid them completely.
